Negative: Bells of the nearby chuch starts at 8, and rings every half an hour.. windows are not entirely sound proof.

Positive: The Beatriz hotel is spotlessly clean and quiet with very comfortable beds. Its location is excellent, just outside the city walls near a beautiful church and full grocery market. Be sure to see the aqueduct and the castelo, both a short walk away. The breakfast was large and delicious. There was plenty of street parking just by the front door.

Negative: This was the only place we stayed that did not take advance payment. I inadvertently walked out without paying but luckily the staff caught up with me and politely reminded me of my error!

Summary: Clean and comfortable with a great breakfast.

Positive: The breakfast was really more than sufficient and varied. This hotel is a little gem, close to all amenities neat and clean. The staff were very friendly

Negative: I would have Iiked the option of tea or coffee in the room. But that is not a negative

Summary: An absolutely awesome stay. Highly recommend it. We will definitely be back
